Sting Settle for Fourth

OCAA Championship Quarterfinal | Seneca 24 - Loyalist 19 (OT)

For most of the match, it looked like the Sting would be relegated to the consolation side of the bracket, but the Sting clawed their way back to defeat the Loyalist Lancers 24-19 in the OCAA Quarterfinal. Nicole Rossi had a pair of tries for the Sting, the second cutting the deficit to 19-14 following a convert by Angelina Jahshan. Trailing later in the match, Jahshan scored a try on the final play of regulation, sending the match to suddent death overtime. Avery Carruthers scored a try near the end of the five minute session as the Sting advance to the semi-final where they will meet the top-seeded Durham Lords.

OCAA Championship Bronze Medal | Conestoga 24 - Seneca 12

The Sting took an early 12-7 lead, but were unable to hold off the second half pressure from the Condors, falling in the OCAA bronze medal match. Avery Carruthers opened the scoring for the Sting followed by a try by Angelina Jahshan and convert from Nicole Rossi before halftime. The second half was all Conestoga, scoring 17 consecutive points. Maddy McCowan was named Player of the Match for the Sting.
