Branch, Naumoski, Mayer Named OCAA All-Stars
TORONTO — Alessandro Vivolo (Ottawa) of Algonquin College is the 2025 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men's Soccer Player of the Year.
The third-year right winger, after playing centre back in his first two seasons, exploded on offence in 2025 scoring 16 goals in nine matches, helping guide Algonquin to an East Division championship. With talent to play any position, Vivolo often proves to be the best player on the field. The OCAA and East Division Scoring Champion is also is also named the East Division Player of the Year, a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Canadian and East Division League First-Team All-Star.
The West Division Player of the Year is Evan Antolcic (Kitchener) of Conestoga College. The second-year midfielder scored seven goals in 10 matches for the Condors. Antolcic receives other honours as well, including CCAA All-Canadian and West Division League First-Team All-Star recognition.
Teammate Pedja Jovicic (Kitchener) is also a CCAA All-Canadian. The fourth-year goalkeeper was the last line of defence on a Condors squad that were co-winners of the West Division Best Defensive Team award allowing just four goals against in 10 matches. Jovicic is also a West Division League First-Team All-Star.
The OCAA Rookie of the Year is Cormac O'Brien (Glasgow, Scotland) of Redeemer University. A technical and gifted player, the midfielder was the Royals co-leader with three goals. The West Division Rookie of the Year headlines the West Division All-Rookie Team.
Markus Fracasso (Vaughan) of George Brown College is the East Division Rookie of the Year. The midfielder made a strong impact in his first year with the Huskies, showcasing his versatility by playing three different positions. Fracasso scored five goals. Also named an East Division League First-Team All-Star, Fracasso headlines the East Division All-Rookie Team.
Conestoga's Stuart Mackie is the OCAA Coach of the Year and a nominee for CCAA Coach of the Year. Mackie has continued to build a perennial medal contending team since he took the reigns as Condors head coach in 2019. Conestoga finished in second place in the West Division with an 8-2 record. Mackie is also the West Division Coach of the Year.
David Ashfield of Durham College is the East Division Coach of the Year. In his 12 years at Durham, Ashfield has led the Lords to a winning record each season. Taking a new group of student-athletes with little returning help, Ashfield led the Lords to a 6-3-2 record.
Gerrit Oldejans (Dundas) of Niagara College is the West Division Scoring Champion. The fifth-year forward scored eight goals in 10 matches, averaging 0.8 per game. Oldejans is also a West Division League First-Team All-Star.
George Brown's Mark Do Coito (Toronto) is the East Division Defensive Player of the Year. The fifth-year student-athlete is a rare defender who not only locks down his responsibilities at the back but also pushes forward to contribute in the attack. Do Coito is also an East Division League First-Team All-Star.
Carmine Fiore (Woodbridge) of Humber Polytechnic is the West Division Defensive Player of the Year. The second-year defender consistently demonstrates exceptional defensive awareness, leadership, and composure under pressure. The Hawks were co-winners of the West Division Best Defensive Team award allowing just four goals against en route to a perfect 10-0 record and a West Division championship. Fiore is also a West Division League First-Team All-Star.
The Seneca Sting are the East Division Best Defensive Team after allowing just seven goals against during the regular season.
Several OCAA League All-Stars are also recognized. In addition to Vivolo, Fracasso and Do Coito, East Division League First-Team All-Stars include Cristian Aviles-Molina (Ottawa) of Algonquin; Siah Stone (Oakville) of Cambrian College; Diego Farias (Brampton) and Duarte Ventura-Oliviera (Brampton) of Centennial College; Deandre Watkis (Ajax) of Durham; and Deandre Branch (Oshawa), Lorenzo Mayer (Toronto) and Ile Naumoski (Whitby) of Seneca Polytechnic.
Joining Antolcic, Jovicic, Oldejans and Fiore as West Division First-Team All-Stars are Luca Romano (Kitchener) of Conestoga; Michael Crocco (Brampton), Matias Lescano (Toronto), Franz Mella (Toronto), Luca Pinto (Vaughan) and Marcus Riviere (Mississauga) of Humber; and Ferdinand Lokole (Congo) of Niagara.
East Division Second-Team All-Stars include Azeez Al-Hammood (Ottawa), Shawn-Allen Guillaume (Aylmer, Que.) and Nick Parry (Ottawa) of Algonquin; Joshua Vivero (Toronto) of Cambrian; Dante Forte (King City) of Centennial; Michael Arfanis (Courtice), Jaden Grant (Oshawa), Zachery Hamedi (Ajax) and Kahlil John-Wentworth (Ajax) of Durham; Marsel Ismaili (Toronto) of George Brown; and Rohan Goulbourne (Brampton) and Yunseong Joo (Seoul, South Korea) of Seneca.
West Division Second-Team All-Stars include Anthony D'souza (Cambridge), Saab Kohar (Kitchener), Marko Lesic (Kitchener), Sebastian Martinez Jaramillo (Cucuta, Columbia) and Gregor McKeon (Lochwinnoch) of Conestoga; Adrian Anthony (Scarborough), Cristiano Candelaresi (Bolton) and Matthew Smith (Stouffville) of Humber; Marshall Mathe (London) of Lambton College; Marco Ferrusi (Hamilton) of Mohawk College; Luca Moras (Alliston) of Redeemer; and Brandon Correia (Brampton) of Sheridan College.
Joining O'Brien on the West Division All-Rookie team are Elliot Dell (Waterloo) of Conestoga; Curtis Singh (London) of Fanshawe College; Anthony of Humber; and David Munoz (Milton) of Sheridan.
Along with Fracasso, East Division All-Rookie members include Al-Hammood of Algonquin; Arvin Alcid (Oshawa) of Cambrian; Forte of Centennial; Arfanis of Durham; and Kahinde Salau (Sutton) of Seneca.
