The Seneca Sting (1-15) ran into one of the OCAA's top teams, falling to the Canadore Panthers (12-4) in straight sets 25-21, 25-20, 25-14.
The two teams looked like a mismatch based on records, but the Sting were able to make it a competitive match, pushing the Panthers late into the first two sets. The second set saw the Sting nearly overcome a 20-14 lead, scoring five straight points to pull within one before the Panthers were able to pull out the set.
The Sting were led by Gurtaj Bal who topped the Sting with 12 kills to go along with 4 digs. Ehsan Gahzanfari added 6 kills and 7 digs while Daniel Edwards finished with 12 digs.
Jackson Brear and Ryan Carnevale each recorded 8 kills for the Panthers with Carnevale also adding 8 digs to lead the Panthers. Setter Cameron Daniels finished with 24 assists.
