The Seneca Sting (11-1) started hot and cruised to an 89-68 win over the Algonquin Thunder (2-10).
The Sting opened the game on a 16-0 run, overwhelming the visiting Thunder with a barrage of three pointers, led by Jordan Anderson. The third year guard continued his hot shooting in the second half of the season, scoring 20 points. Anderson
A bright spot for the Sting was Johnny Kitenge, who finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. It was a season-high in scoring for the second year guard who figures to be a key contributor for the Sting as they get closer to the OCAA postseason.
Dakoda Lewis continued to increase his season scoring average. Lewis scored 25 points to increase his average to 22.7 points per game and moved into second place in OCAA scoring.
All-around leader and co-captain Isaiah Ankra continued to build his case for a repeat OCAA East Division First-Team All-Star selection, scoring 16 points and adding 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
Leading the Thunder was Zerious Loney who finished with a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ali Al-Shaher and Simon Desta also scored in double figures, finishing with 12 and 10 points respectively.
